About Me
by Michelle Nadeau
Painting started out like any other hobby: with a childish fascination. Growing up as an only child in a quiet household art and music became my adopted siblings.
I started painting on the walls of the guest bathroom using Craftsmart Acrylic paint in Diva Pink when I was a teenager. My mother wasn't too pleased when she discovered my bathroom gallery. I was always excited about creating great bold pieces. Strong colors and imaginative subject matter was my go-to.
After taking a Drawing I and II class at the University of Central Florida I was addicted to creating new perceptions. There's something oddly comforting in the knowledge that every person’s perception is original. I studied Art History and went on to minor in Studio Art. After graduating in 2014 I went on a six month backpacking adventure abroad and immersed myself in rich cultures and art before heading back home with almost empty pockets and an insatiable hunger to create.
My style of art combines the bold colors and movement of impressionism with a modern flair. While I admire artists who have the patience for meticulous detailing I believe art should be created with a sense of urgency and examined intuitively. Art parallels life and life is anything but planned or perfect.
